As teachers, we want to give our all to our students and our profession. Whether researching the latest pedagogical technique, planning the greatest lesson in the universe, or attempting to reach that kid that no one got through to, etc.; we are constantly in the tireless pursuit of perfection. However, we may often find that numerous demands we face each day and the ones we put upon ourselves can become overwhelming. In such cases we need to be working on finding balance to our lives. Let us not forget we are human too, and a burnt out teacher is not going to provide a very effective learning experience for their students.
This is so real it’s scary!

I hear you, especially in your case at a charter where the expectations for teachers tend to not take all of the realities of life into consideration
