One hundred and eighty days of teaching takes a toll on the soul. It's no wonder educators desperately look forward to summer break, when they get time revive and recharge. It also no wonder that sometimes teachers seek a summer of solitude, and often avoid the sight and sounds of kids at all costs!
As we approach the end of the school year, I am sure that you are experiencing, much like myself, a myriad of emotions. I feel this cartoon helps illustrate just what teachers go through as we await that final school day bell to toll.

With the break ending, some educators can't wait to get back into the swing of things at school, but I can't help but wonder, how many of us are counting down the days until the next school vacation?
