The past week has seen an unprecedented amount of civil action by educators. From teacher walkouts in several states, to a rally in the capital of Puerto Rico, educators across the country are fed up with being unappreciated, underpaid, and threatened with school closings and the privatization of our public school system. We are hopeful that as educators take a stand together, positive policy changes that are good for students, families, and the teaching profession will finally come to pass.
